Factory Rugs - Area Rug Buyer's Guide
Choosing the Right Rug
The Oriental rug buying process can be a daunting one. To assist
you in this endeavor, we have put together a Buyer’s Guide. It
is our hope that it will help you to make an informed decision.
You should know whether a rug is handmade or machine-made before
you purchase it. Authentic Oriental rugs are handmade pieces of
artwork. Natural fibers such as wool, silk and cotton are used
in their creation. Each rug can take days, months…sometimes even
years to create. Machine-made (power-loomed) rugs on the other
hand, can be created very quickly. They can be made with natural
fibers as well but are usually made with synthetic fibers. Machine-made
rugs are usually less expensive and easier to clean but handmade
rugs are typically more durable. It is up to you as to what you
find most important.
It is also important to know the type of customer service that
you will receive before and after you purchase a rug. Purchasing
an Oriental rug should be an enjoyable experience and you should
have confidence in the company that you buy from. We pride ourselves
on our customer service. We are always here to help before…and
after the sale!
